The following is a letter from the October 6-12, 1982 issue of the New
Times Weekly:

I thought the movies "E.T." and "Annie", both highly acclaimed, were
bad until today when I saw "The Wall". The Artistry and the music were
excellent but the contents were disgustingly violent.
It is well known that many youngsters go through a phase of
"idealism" where they want equality, freedom, and independence and
reject some of society's rules such as attending schools and obeying
their parents. At this point such youngsters are most vulnerable and
gullible towards propaganda and any other interesting theories that are
available.
So we get an ideal situation of the movie "The Wall" agreeing with
their views. Such a situation can only be detrimental to society and
also increase violence, crime and truancy among youngsters. I strongly
feel that this movie should be banned.

P.S. I am not a parent or a senior citizen.

Does anyone know if the Spock picture and moon picture are anywhere on
System M? I am also interested in the archive of poetry that used to be
in >udd>MMPP>pictures (that included "The Last Bug").
