In the past few years, rock seems to have split into 2 or three basic groups.
 Punk
 New Wave/Pop
 Hard Rock
In my opinion, just about everything in the last 3 years can go into one of
theses three groups.

Anybody have anything to say about this?

An interesting thing about New Wave vs. Hard Rock, is that there are so
many new bands crawling from the woodwork, it is hard to classify them
all.  It seems that any group that has no paticular "sound", or can't
really be fit into one of the three main groups Norton mentioned, is
automatically labled New Wave.  This may be why there are so many New
Wave bands out there today.

Such comments, coming from someone who uses the word "god" in relation to AC/DC,
(I refuse to use the word "music" in connection with them), are clearly no-ops.

Hej, let's face it.  Some of us are into real hard rock (Me, for one) and
appreciate the guitar skills of Angus Yound, Edward Van Halen, and others
such as Rick Nielson (sp) but can also allow room in thier music span for
artists like The Who, Yes, and Pink Floyd.  Some of us have a *VERY* wide
range of tastes, from Black Flag (an L.A. hard punk band), to Tchaikovsky
and othe classical artist such as Brahms, or Bach, or even Haydn.

Others, however, refuse to acknowledge the talents and skills that go into
playing the guitar with such perfection that they can do it sprawling bout
in little circles on the floor.  Others still refuse to accept the writing
and vocals that go into EVERY rock song (from AC/DC to Asia).  I, for one,
like to belive that I do have a wide variety of tastes in music and that I
am fairly open minded about the songs and groups that seem to crop up just
about everywhere.  I don't dislike a song unless it os repetitive (sp?) of
what the band has been doing all along, or unless it has no basic musical
properties.  It is for the former reason that I do not like the newer WHO
stuff.  I do appreciate the talent behind The Who, so I will listen to the
songs that they put out.  I think people should perhaps allow for a broad
variety of music in thier lives, or offer reasons as to why they exclude a
specific band, type of music, or era from thier selections.  I am not, by
any means requiring that poeple like the music I like, I just think that
all music should be given a fair chance.  Who knows, I may even grow to
like the Go Go's.

Why does putting a blank iteration set after a command prevent it's execution?
Example: ls ()
Would result in the "ls" command to NOT execute.
